Do you golf? Does your man golf? Does your friend golf? I've been in the golf industry for the last 5 years but I've been around the game my whole life thanks to my parents. Last week I introduced my Rob Myers to the world of blogging. Rob is a PGA instructor and the head of golf instruction at Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas. He is a great teacher and he decided to start a blog to share all his great tips and knowledge. If you golf I'd love for you to take a moment and check out his blog or pass on his blog to someone who does. I appreciate it and hope you all have a great New Year's. Here is Rob's blog....
Home For the Holidays
Friday, December 24, 2010
Happy Holidays everyone! I arrived late in Denver last night and it feels so good to be home. We (the boyfriend and myself) didn't decorate in San Antonio because we would be in Colorado for the holidays so we didn't see much point in the effort. So I wanted to share with you a few decorations from my Mom's home. I hope you all are sharing the holidays with those you love.
If we were to be BFF’s these are the things you should know…

Homemade Meatballs
Saturday, December 18, 2010
My favorite meal of all time is spaghetti and meatballs. My boyfriend thinks I’m plain and boring when it comes to food and he’s right…but I like what I like. Anyways, tonight I making my homemade meatballs!
Delicious! If you would like to try this recipe yourself, you’re in luck, I’m sharing it here.
1 pound of ground beef
1/4 pound of ground pork
1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
1/2 cup of bread crumbs
2 eggs
2 teaspoons of finely chopped garlic
2 teaspoons of garlic
1/4 tablespoon of salt
1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese cut into little squares
(Makes about 25 ping pong sized meatballs)
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and roll meat into balls (about the size of a ping pong ball). Don’t mix and roll your meat too much otherwise the meatballs will get tough. While your forming your meatballs, place a jar of sauce (or if you like homemade sauce) in a sauce pan. Wait until the sauce is boiling, add meatballs, and reduce heat to low and simmer covered for 20 minutes.
I continue to flip the meatballs during the 20 minutes with tongs so that they are cooked all the way through (as I enjoy a nice glass of vino along the way). After the 20 minutes are up, remove meatballs from heat and add to your favorite pasta. If you wanna work your inner Giada De Laurentiis, you could make homemade noodles and homemade sauce. I’ll just stick to one thing homemade….it’s already enough of a stretch for me ; )

Pill Box
Sunday, December 12, 2010
So the Intuition razor blade replacements come in these little plastic containers that look like this.
Those dang replacements for razors cost an arm and a leg so I decided to do something with the little containers. My sister and my Mom both take vitamins daily and they always have their vitamins laying in their purses. I decided to make them little pill boxes so their vitamins weren’t scattered in the bottom-less pits of their hobo bags. I took off the Intuition stickers and Mod Podged some scrapbook paper to the top. I let that dry, added a sticker with each of their initials (both A’s- Anna and Arlene) and then added another Mod Podge layer.
Pretty easy, right? I am going to put them in their stockings!
I need cookie HELP!
I purchased some cute Chinese take out inspired boxes from Michael's today. They have a Christmas themed print on the outside. I work at a golf course and I am the only girl there so I figured I'd just make all the boys cookies for Christmas and package them in these boxes (they wouldn't care if I gave them in zip lock bags... the presentation is mainly for me ha). So I want to try some new cookie recipes and stuff each box with a combination of different cookies. This is where I need help, I would love if you would comment any great cookie recipes you make around the holidays! Hopefully we can get a bunch of new ideas started and this will help not only me but maybe give someone else an idea or so.
Let the recipes begin....

Jewelry Holder
Monday, December 6, 2010
I wanted to create some sort of holder for my necklaces in my bathroom (I had been using my hand towel rack and been constantly reminded that a hand towel rack is for hand towels…thanks boyfriend). Anyways, I decided to use some of the fantastic knobs that Hobby Lobby sells to create my jewelry holder.
I first found a finished 2x4 with claw hooks at Hobby Lobby for sale and bonus for me it was 50% off.
Pretty good deal right? I then found some paper to cover the board with. I found this sort of raised paper that I have used before in the stationary section, it is not scrapbook paper.
I Mod Podged the paper onto the 2x4.
For those of you who have never used Mod Podge use the prce of the big bottle is about $7, but these big bottles last me about 3 months and I use Mod Podge for almost everything!
I was lucky enough to have my very handy Dad in town this weekend to assist me with this project. He drilled four holes in my 2x4 and screwed in my Hobby Lobby knobs.
Each of the knobs stuck out quite a bit in the back so my Dad sawed them off using just a hand-held saw. We then hung the 2x4 on my wall and added necklaces.
Special thanks to my Dad for his excellent hardware help, me and tools don’t work well together :)
