Wine Label Plate

This project has been about 5 months in the making, as it required a good amount of wine labels (and only 2 wine drinkers).  This wine labeled plate is fairly simple to complete, the hardest part would be removing the wine labels and making sure to save them. I started with this wood plate from Hobby Lobby.

After collecting (aka: drinking lots of delicious vino) the wine labels I Mod Podged them on the plate….told you it was an easy project. After the Mod Podge dried I placed the finished plate above my cabinets, not sure if that will be the plate’s final home but for now it works. I also think it may need a plate stand holder but my cabinets are so high and deep it may not even be visible if I had one.

Love this! I am the wine drinker in this house so it might take me a year to finish the project but I think I am going to try!

Thanks!

This is a great idea! I love it! I recently finished a cork board (with wine corks) and this plate idea would look great next to my board! :)

Hi There- The candles with pins, the beach bag, and the plate all look great!!! GREAT JOB!

I got that cast iron key- 5 years ago at a store that went out of business in St. George, UT. (Iron Station) it was a Magic Santa Clause key that says SC north pole on the other side. I just flipped it over and removed the magic key poem it came with. HA! Its hard to find keys these days. Thanks for your visit. Have a great day. Jen

Im following you back! I love this idea - If only I would have saved all my labels I could have made quite a few of these :)

Wow! What a great idea. I have about 50 wine labels flattening in a book and had no idea what to do with them. This could be what I was looking for! Thanks!

This is a GREAT idea but would also be good to use a clear glass plate. ModPodge the labels to the back with the front of the label facing the top part of the plate. Then maybe gold, sliver or copper leaf the back, seal and use the plate for cheeses, appetizers, etc. at a wine 'n cheese party!!!! Just thinking.
