Laundry Closet Organization

Saturday, February 19, 2011

I am so blessed to have a wonderful laundry closet. Why would I need a laundry room when I have a dark, gloomy, small laundry closet? Anytime I pass the laundry closet I just cringe, it was a disaster, you see…

Ahh!! Are you cringing too? Anyways it needed a bit of a facelift so I got to work on fixing the closet up. I started by scrubbing clean both the washer and dryer (confession: I’ve never done that since we moved in-gross!). I then found some containers around our place that I could use to organize what we really needed in the laundry closet and I tossed everything else or found it a new home. Here is the transformation- finished in less than an hour and best part is it was free!

Much better- now I can appreciate my laundry closet (at least a little bit).

Yay! Someone else with a laundry closet and not a laundry room! It looks great, you've done a fab job!

You had me at "organization". :)
Looks terrific! Perhaps the motivation I need to re-do my own laundry room.

My laundry closet is so fancy it came with broken bi-fold doors, so now there's just a curtain hanging there! Mine seriously needs a face lift too! Great job!

I've got a closet only, too (bummer) but I love how you organized yours. (Plus I like it that I"m not alone in laundry-closet-only land!)

Oh, I so do not miss my laundry closet. Of course now my laundry room is in a dark, dirty basement so I'm not sure if it is much better. I love how it turned out. I'm your newest follower from frugal Friday's link party. I'm throwing my very first link party tomorrow (Monday). I would love it if you stopped by an added your project.

New follower, found you through 'Meet and Follow Sunday'. Sadly, your before is better than my current...I need to organize! It tends to be the catchall for everything there isn't a real place for!!

Very Nice! I laughed at the "socks with no match" bin. Very cute and I'm sure that will be used a lot. I need one of those too!

Nice improvement Lauren! :) The laundry room is definitely one of the most unorganized rooms in my house... Maybe I ought to clean it up nice and neat like yours! ;) Thanks for linking this to Fancy This Fridays!!!

Looks great!! We used to have our laundry room in our kitchen-ugh! We have a closet/teeny tiny room now which I am trying to be grateful for but ours needs to be organized too.

I have a laundry closet too, but mine is in my bathroom. I have it sort of organized as in I keep all the toddlers clothes in there, all the table linnens, all towels, diapers, toiletpaper and papertowels. It doesn't look as nice as yours or as organized, but it works for now.
I really like how yours turned out.
Good job well done. Thank you for sharing.
