Painted Signs

Wednesday, February 2, 2011
First, I want to apologize in advance for these pictures in this post. I was sans camera for a little while and only had my cell phone to snap some pictures : ( bums me out but oh well. I needed to make some signs for the Golf Course I worked at so I picked up some pre-cut rectangles of wood at Hobby Lobby and decided I was going to hand paint and stencil them. This project would have most likely taken me much less time if I had a vinyl cutter machine, but I have yet to win a giveaway for one and I haven't forked over the cash to purchase one. I suffered using old fashioned stencils and acrylic paint.

Here is how they turned out. Pretty simple but that's the look I was going for. Hope everyone is staying warm wherever you are.

I like them! And personally like the good old fashioned way of doing them better they look more authentic and less commercial (of course depending on the look you are going for)
